Maths for Grade 3

In the case of rectangles, the child is guided—through observation—to discover which operation can be used to calculate the area.

More complex shapes, where possible, are broken down into rectangles.

Time

Reading time on analogue clocks with minute accuracy.

Converting time between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.

Solving problems involving start time, end time and duration.

Progress Monitoring

The exercises adapt automatically, giving more emphasis to concepts where the child has difficulties or less practice.

Connection with Higher Grades

Many Grade 3 concepts reappear in higher grades, even in secondary school.

For this reason, it is often useful for students to revisit these lessons.
